Managing Director, Art
Andrey first worked as a 3D artist in Video Production and then started his career in the game industry in 2001 by joining Avalon Russia as a lead artist, where he helped ship several titles including Sabotain, Break the Rules and others.
From 2003 to 2006, Andrey worked as a Graphics Director at Nival – Russia’s premier game developer in Russia. He successfully managed the art of the hit title “Heroes of Might and Magic V”, from conception to completion, after working on a range of PC games such as Day Watch and Blitzkrieg 2.
As Virtuos’ Managing Director – Art Division, Andrey has full responsibilities for orientating and managing operations of the Art Division.
Andrey became one of the first ever 3D artists in Far-Eastern Russia by graduating from the Far-Eastern State University in Vladivostock with a major in 3D modelling of a physical process.
Gilles founded the Company in October 2004. He was previously Worldwide Managing Director of ubi.com, Ubisoft’s online division, responsible for the group’s online strategy and businesses.
Ubisoft built its success on a strategy of distributing development to multiple high-quality / low-cost international production studios. Gilles played a key role in this strategy by setting-up and managing the group’s studios in Shanghai and Beijing from 1997 to 2000. He and his team built these studios into the largest in China at the time, with more than 300 employees.
Gilles entered the gaming industry in 1995 as a Producer, after working 3 years in retailing and management consulting.Educated in France and the UK, Gilles holds a Masters degree from HEC, France’s leading Business School.
Managing Director, Game
Before joining Virtuos, Pan was the Manager of the New Services Department at Linktone (Nasdaq LTON). He was responsible for managing development and launching over 60 mobile games in China, including Tom & Jerry from Cartoon Network, Alpha Wing from Macrospace, Legend of Ninja from Index. His team is also credited for setting up Linktone’s 2.5G value added services teams and launching them around China.
He worked from 2002 to 2003 at China HR, China’s leading HR portal and consultancy, as head of campus recruiting. Pan’s career really started at Ubisoft, where he produced PC, PS2 and Gamecube titles like the F1 Racing series. During his 4 years at Ubisoft, he was also in charge of research on hardware and middleware for PS2 and Gamecube.
Pan Feng holds a Masters degree in Management from Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade and a Bachelor’s degree in Business English.
General Manager Chengdu
Vivian is working as General Manager for managing operations of Virtuos Chengdu studio.
Before joining Virtuos, Vivian was the service manager (2009~2012) of Tieto, a Finland outsource company focus on Nokia mobile application projects.
From 2005 to 2009, Vivian was a program/project manager of Ericsson for telecommunication RBS projects managements. Vivian worked for Lucent (Bell Lab) as test leader (2003~2005) for Radio Core Network SGSN projects.
Vivian holds a Ph.D (Computer Science, AI) degree of Institution of Computing Technologies, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Global President of Sales & Marketing
Oversees the whole Sales& Marketing team
25 years' experience in business development, having previously held top management positions at Havok, Image Metrics and Microsoft, where he was responsible for managing the Sales & Marketing strategies.
General Manager Xi'an
Bao Bo is working as General Manager of the Xi'an studio of Virtuos – one of the biggest game developers in the world. Virtuos supply the best production of game software and 3D art for game publishers, developers and movie companies.
In 2012 Bao Bo led his team to set up Virtuos Studio in Xi'an. The branch company had been growing fast and owns strong team of art production and game QA (Quality Assurance) under his leadership. Bao Bo is devoted to lead Virtuos Xi’an office to be the best game development company in northwestern china.
Before setting up Xi’an office, Bao Bo worked as QA project manager and then department manager at Virtuos. He has seasoned experience on professional game production with all the steps of QA. He has been working on more than 50 games titles on almost all game platforms (PSP, NDS, PS2, Wii, XBOX 360, PSV, PS3, 3DS, PS4, PC and etc).
Bao Bo entered game industry as a QA engineer in 2004, and he worked at S3 Graphics for two years.
Bao Bo graduated from Tongji University with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Automation and a Master of Computer Science.
General Manager Europe
Christophe is the head of Gamesource, Virtuos’ European arm. Before joining Virtuos, Christophe was the founder and Producing Director (2000-2005) of Babylon Software, a French independent studio specialized in racing games, where he produced Furious Karting (Xbox) and RPM Tuning (Xbox /PS2/PC). Previously, Christophe was the head of Ubisoft’s Racing GamePlay Department from 1994 to 1999. During his 4 years at Ubisoft, he produced a wide range of racing games, including POD, all F1 Racing series, Speed Devils, etc.
Christophe is working as Executive Producer in charge of all games in development, helping the teams reach the quality bar and offering the possibility to bridge the communication gap with Virtuos’ Western clients.
After graduating from ESTACA, a French automotive engineering school, Christophe worked as an automobile engineer at Renault Sport.
Human Ressource Director
Minny is the founder of Virtuos Chengdu branch.
She has engineering and management background.
She is multi linguistic and internationally experienced in different European and Asian markets.
Director of Business Development
Philippe, who is supervising client’s relationship in Europe and Asia, followed more than 200 projects at Virtuos since 2009. Philippe is managing a team of 5 different nationalities to do a bridge between our clients and our teams, help our clients increasing their production capacity, while keeping costs under control.
Philippe holds a Bachelor degree in International Trade from the Portsmouth University, a Bachelor degree in Marketing and a Master degree in International Management from Marseille Business School.
Senior Art Director
Wu Wei joined Virtuos in 2005 and today leads a large team of artists. He has overseen hundreds of high-profile art projects for clients such as EA, Guerilla, Industrial Light & Magic and Naughty Dog. As a master of the traditional arts, he regularly sculpts and sketches with real materials, and regularly trains and mentors the Virtuos team.
Before joining Virtuos, he spent six years starting from 1998 as a Character Artist for Ubisoft Shanghai. Wu Wei graduated from East China Normal University with a Bachelor of Arts in Oil Painting.
Wang Wei Wei
Joined Virtuos in 2006 MBA from University of California Riverside.
Senior Technical Director
Jurgen has worked on game technology since 1997, and joined his first game company in 1999 which later merged with what is now known as Guerrilla Games. He worked on the original Killzone for PS2 as well as Killzone 2 for PS3. He joined Virtuos in 2005, and has since had experience working on a wide range of different platforms including PSP, PS2, PS3, NDS, 3DS, Wii and Xbox 360. Jurgen has extensive knowledge on the ins and outs of game engines, middleware and tools. He drives himself and the Virtuos engineering team to continually improve and deliver the most out of what is possible on each project. Educated in the Netherlands, Jurgen holds an engineering degree in Measurement and Control Systems.
