FINAL FANTASY XII: THE ZODIAC AGE ANNOUNCED FOR PS4
Shanghai, China –September 30, 2016 – Virtuos is thrilled to announce that we took a direct part in fully renovating Square Enix 2006 PS2 version of Final Fantasy XII, providing a second life for the title on PS4. For the renovation process visuals have been upgraded with high definition textures, post filters and lighting improvement via Current Generation Rendering Hybrid. Improvements of gameplay experience have been made with new features such as the turbo function, the auto save system and the decrease of loading time.

Virtuos Acquires Black Shamrock, Continues Global Growth Momentum with New Ireland Subsidiary
Shanghai – February 24, 2017 - Virtuos, a global leader in videogame content production, today announced it has acquired a controlling interest in Dublin-based independent game studio Black Shamrock. Founded in 2016, the studio of 15 employees is led by co-founder and Managing Director Olivier Masclef, formerly of Widescreen Games, with continued plans for expansion over the next two years. Black Shamrock will continue to operate as an independent studio focused on core gamer strategy and RPG titles for PC and consoles, while benefitting from the expanded business development and production resources available from Virtuos.
GDC 2017 Talk: Virtuos’ contribution to the Star Wars Universe
During GDC 2017 in San Francisco the Virtuos team delivered an in depth talk about our work on the Star Wars universe across different mediums and the artistic challenges in finding a balance between consistency and specificity for each of these Star Wars entities.

Virtuos supported Guerrilla Games by providing modeling for 10 key robots, and numerous unique environmental props. Virtuos artists were also able to design character clothing, including costume variants for Aloy, the hero of this exhilarating new action role playing game.

UNCHARTED 4 RELEASES WITH 3D ART FROM VIRTUOS
Shanghai, China, 16th May 2016 – Virtuos is thrilled to announce that we had the opportunity to contribute to Uncharted 4: A thief’s end the latest installment of the legendary franchise. Virtuos supported Naughty Dog by producing clothings for more than 30 characters including the main protagonist Drake, as well as numerous vehicles and environments. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes Sam and Drake through jungle islands, urban cities and snow-capped peaks in the search for Captain Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure. We are very proud to continue this successful collaboration and long standing partnership with Naughty Dog.

Shanghai, China – 10th May 2016 Virtuos will be present at CES Asia, taking place in Shanghai from May 11th to 13th Virtuos will be located in the Hall 4, within the French tech pavilion. Started in 2005, Virtuos has become the biggest independent game company in China and one of largest game developers in the world. STEVE WOZNIAK EXPERIMENTS VR PROJECT ’MARS 2030’ WITH ART FROM VIRTUOS
April 26th 2016 – Virtuos had the exciting opportunity to partner with FUSION on a VR experiment: Mars 2030. Mars 2030 is an immersive VR experience that allows users to feel what it is like to stand on the surface of Mars .The project was developed using scientifically accurate satellite imagery and data gathered in years of exploration missions. Virtuos supported FUSION by producing high quality assets such as vehicles, suits, habitats and machinery and matched the highest level of graphics fidelity possible so that the VR experience can be fully appreciated. Jen-Hsun Huang, Nvidia CEO, introduced Mars 2030 to Steve Wozniak to try out during GTC 2016. ‘’This is going to be incredible for whoever actually gets to travel to Mars!" said the co-founder of Apple. Made in the Unreal Engine 4 the production version will be available to the public later this year, free of charge, via a wide-range of platforms and products including Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard, and Samsung VR Gear.

Heavy Rain releases on PS4 with HD Upgrade by Virtuos
Shanghai, China – 24th March 2016 – Virtuos is proud to announce our first co-development project of 2016: Quantic Dream's title Heavy Rain HD on PS4. Virtuos fully remastered the 2010 PS3 version of Heavy Rain, providing a second life for the title on PS4. This process involved upgrading all visuals, taking the pipeline and engine from 32-bit to 64-bit, and adding PS4 exclusive features such as PLAYGO & Share. This is our second co-developed PS4 title after Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD and another important milestone in Virtuos’ flourishing co-development track record. Originally released on PlayStation 3 in February of 2010, Heavy Rain was an interactive drama action-adventure game developed by Quantic Dream. It has come to be known as a “film noir thriller”, featuring four diverse protagonists. Each are uniquely involved in the mystery of the Origami Killer, a serial killer who uses extended periods of rainfall to drown his victims.

In 2014 & 2015, our Sparx studio had the opportunity to work on the highly anticipated blockbuster Star Wars: The Force awakens. The team contributed to the production of 25 Characters including fan favorites C3PO, Han Solo and Rey. They also contributed to 10 Vehicles including Rey’s speeder, along with numerous props featured in key moments throughout the film. The Force Awakens is the seventh installment in the main Star Wars film series and is set about 30 years after Return of the Jedi (1983). The movie follows Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron's fight with the Resistance, led by veterans of the Rebel Alliance, against Kylo Ren and the First Order, which attempts to rule the galaxy. As of today, the blockbuster movie has now made $1.9 Billion, and overtook the film Avatar’s previous record as the biggest-grossing film of all time domestically (USA).
