Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is rekindled with Virtuos' help

Shanghai, China – September 10th 2014 –Virtuos proudly announces that the team had the opportunity to work on the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

After 11 years on hiatus, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have returned to the big screen in their first live-action picture since 1993 as the stars of one of the summer’s biggest blockbuster films, TMNT. The film brings the Ninja Turtles back into the spotlight and introduces to them to a whole new generation of kids and teenagers worldwide.

We at Virtuos are very proud to share with you that we had the opportunity to contribute to the revival of such a beloved franchise. Our artists provided asset support in the form of prop, weapon, building, vehicle, and digital double asset production to our partner Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) for use in the film. Many of these models were featured in key shots in the movie, including the primary weapons of the Turtles themselves as well as a significant portion of buildings shown throughout Times Square.

Produced by Nickelodeon Movies alongside Michael Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the feature film was directed by Jonathan Liebesman and boasts a star-studded cast including Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner alongside the voices of Johnny Knoxville, Jeremy Howard, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, and Danny Woodburn.
