Virtuos add new Directors to Management, as 10 years anniversary nears

Shanghai, China – September 10, 2014 – Virtuos has added two new Directors to its Management team: industry veterans Scott Paterson and Vincent Chi.

Scott joins Virtuos as Senior Engagement Director. Based at the company’s headquarter for North America in Vancouver, he will be helping new clients engage in distributed development by sharing his experience and best practices with their teams. Scott brings more than 20 years of videogame production and artistic experience with companies including Rockstar and Slant six games. His credits include games Bully (PS2), Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (PS3-Xbox-PC), Microsoft’s Age of Empires – Castle Siege(W8) and various SOCOM titles.

Vincent joins Virtuos’ Shanghai studio as Senior Environment Art Director. With over 16 years experience art directing/ lighting AAA Console Games, IMAX/ CG Film, TV and Mobile/ Tablet games, Vincent’s specialty is hyperrealism in digital gaming and film visual arts. He is proficient in photorealistic environment and human character lighting, and has worked on more than 20 game products. His career has taken him to established companies in North America such as Electronic Arts, United Front Games and Disney Interactive, where he was a lighting specialist and lighting director. He has served clients like Activision, IMAX and FOX TV Broadcast Company.

FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD for PS3 and PS Vita releases in US with 85% Metacritic score
Shanghai, China – March 18 2014 – Virtuos today announced the release in North America of Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD for PS3 and PS Vita. Created and published by Square Enix, the HD versions of the titles were remastered by Virtuos. China lifts 14-year console ban in Shanghai Free Trade Zone
China, Shanghai – January 6, 2014 – The State Council has released a statement announcing the ban of video-game consoles in China has been lifted for the first time since it was imposed in June 2000. This means foreign-invested enterprises are now allowed to produce consoles in Shanghai’s Free Trade Zone and legally sell them throughout the country.
