EIDOS MONTRÉAL’S SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER LAUNCHED THIS MONTH VIRTUOS TEAM MAKES MAJOR CO-DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION

Singapore - September 2018 - Virtuos is excited that it has contributed to the development of Shadow of the Tomb Raider™ from Eidos-Montréal™. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the latest entry in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider® series, and is available now worldwide for the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC/Steam®.

Over the years, Virtuos has committed to bringing the highest quality co-development standards to its clients’ many AAA games, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider is further proof of this commitment to quality. In partnering closely with Eidos-Montréal, Virtuos became an integral part of the development process, with support across multiple areas including Art, Level Design and Gameplay. Virtuos committed resources to the development team, which was composed of concept artists, Technical Artists, VFX Artists, Level Artists and Level Designers. Based on the creative brief and design from Eidos-Montréal, Virtuos contributed to full level and production design to help bring Shadow of the Tomb Raider to life.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.
 
Created by a team of veteran Tomb Raider developers at Eidos-Montréal, in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, the game is available now for the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC/Steam®.
